The Jyske Bank Boxen forms the framework for the Men's Handball World Championship in 2023. The Danish handball players will play all their matches in Jyske Bank Boxen when the Men's Handball World Championship takes place in Denmark, Norway and Croatia in 2025.

The ultimate handball party is taking place these days at Jyske Bank Boxen, where the stands are alive with waves of excitement, communal singing, and a sea of red-and-white flags swaying in unison. Head coach Nikolaj Jacobsen and his team are fighting to defend their historic triple World Championship gold in the multi-arena, which has already etched itself into Danish handball history. Here, the men’s handball team secured their first World Championship title in 2019.
With six Danish matches in Herning – three in the preliminary round and three in the main round (which Denmark qualified for with three solid victories in the opening round) – Jyske Bank Boxen is buzzing with intensity and team spirit. Denmark is co-hosting the championship alongside Norway and Croatia, and the Danish fans in Herning are, as always, doing their utmost to create an authentic World Championship atmosphere that will hopefully propel the team all the way to another triumph.
Denmark’s home ground once again sets the stage for a spectacular championship and a sports event brimming with memorable moments – so come and be part of it!

Transportation during the 2025 Men's Handball World Championship
Bus
The buses run every day during the World Championship.
Extra departures are added to the regular city bus route 6. Bus no. 6 runs to and from Herning Station to the bus stop in front of Jyske Bank Boxen before and after the day’s matches.
Timetables can be found on rejseplanen.dk and midttrafik.dk.
The last bus departs only after all waiting guests have been transported.
Purchase your ticket now via the Rejsebillet app – price: DKK 24 per trip. (4 euros)
Cash payment is also accepted on the bus.
Train
Herning Messecenter Station is only 700 meters from Jyske Bank Boxen (an unmanned stop).
Note: The last train departs at 10:18 PM on weekdays and 9:52 PM on weekends.
