90 years of Danish Handball - Exhibition

DanskHåndbold and Museum Midtjylland are launching a historic handball exhibition in the Fanzone during the 2025 World Championship in January to celebrate their 90th anniversary.

The exhibition showcases the development of handball from its beginnings to today, focusing on pivotal moments and personalities that have shaped the sport. Through images, films, and artifacts, visitors can explore everything from field handball to modern 7-a-side games and Denmark's triumphs.

The exhibition also celebrates the sense of community that is central to the sport.

Museum Midtjylland brings expertise from previous projects like We Are the Champions.

The handball exhibition is open to guests who hold a ticket to one of Denmark's World Championship matches in Jyske Bank Boxen from January 14th to 25th. The exhibition is located in the Fan Zone at MCH Messecenter Herning and will be open before and between the matches. It is an experience for the whole family, where both children and adults can learn about the development of handball and gain insight into legendary players.
