Have a look at our children’s event calendar and see if there is something that you just cannot miss. Often you will find theater and musicals for children as well as great events in the areas different venues.

Take the kids on a farm holiday, they will love it. Here you can pat the cute little calves in the "Nursery" and "Kindergarten", play on the playground, feed the rabbits with dandelions and much more. 

At the Textile Museum, both adults and children will learn about an industry that has provided people across the entire world with clothes, and has shaped Central Jutland’s identity and development.

Even the youngest of visitors can get a job in the Children’s factory; a communicative playground that teaches kids about history through play and fun.

Get a taste of what it is like to work in a textile factory. First the clothes have to be made, then moved between the different floors and finally packed into boxes ready to be shipped into the great big world.

Visit the old peat factory and discover the story of the peat industry and the heath cultivation around Bølling Sø. See the machines used for peat work and say hello to old farm breeds of horses, rabbits, geese, pigeons and hens.

100 years ago, children were actually faster in carrying out the work of “growing peat” than adults. So, child workers had an important role to play, with the fastest children growing up to 30,000 blocks of peat in a day.

Families with children can play outdoors in the large nature playground with a fantastic view of Bølling Sø.
