Women’s International Match: Denmark vs. Italy

For the first time in 37 years, Herning will host a women’s senior international football match. Denmark’s women’s national team qualified in July for this summer’s European Championship in Switzerland. As part of their preparation, they will compete in the Nations League group stage, with their second group match against Italy taking place at MCH Arena.

Herning Municipality, having previously hosted several youth international matches, is thrilled to welcome the women’s national team back:

"Women’s football is developing rapidly, including here in the Herning region. I look forward to the opportunity to see Denmark’s best female players at MCH Arena, and I’m confident the public will support the team. It’s been over 35 years since we last hosted the Women’s National Team, so this will be a truly special occasion," says Dorthe West, Mayor of Herning Municipality.
