15 January - 1 February 2026.
The hosting is shared between Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Jyske Bank Boxen will be the home ground for the Men's EC in 2026. Two preliminary rounds, an intermediate round, semi-finals and final will be played in Denmark with Jyske Bank Boxen as the venue.
Herning and Jyske Bank Boxen will be the home ground for the Danish national team, when the city in central Jutland will host two preliminary groups as well as one of two intermediate rounds and the final weekend. The other matches are played in Malmö and Kristianstad in Sweden and Oslo in Norway.
- We look forward to welcoming large parts of Europe to world-class handball in Herning. It is a special place for our national team, which on both the men's and women's sides have experienced magical moments in the Jyske Bank Boxen. A place where both players, coaches, and managers feel at home and welcome. We are therefore happy and proud that we have once again been able to make a great agreement with the good people in Herning Municipality and Jyske Bank Boxen to become the Danish home ground at European Championship 2026, says chairman of DanskHåndbold Morten Stig Christensen.
Therefore, all the matches in Denmark will be played in the Jyske Bank Boxen, which will thus become the Danish home ground during the tournament. Managing Director of MCH A/S Georg Sørensen is also pleased:
- We are very happy that the European Men's Handball Championship 2026 will take place in Jyske Bank Boxen, and we are very much looking forward to once again welcoming the very best handball players, managers, coaches, officials and fans. We thank our close partner DanskHåndbold and the European Handball Association for again choosing our multi-arena as the home ground for all of Denmark. It will be the eighth time that Jyske Bank Boxen has laid the floor for a European or World Handball Championship, and it is a continued trust that we will do our best to honor by once again creating the best and most festive setting for the events, so everyone gets an experience out of the ordinary, says managing director of MCH A/S Georg Sørensen.
