Historical attractions

While most clothes today are made on the other side of the globe, it was not long ago that Central Jutland was the center of extensive textile production. The Made in Midtjylland exhibition shows how textile production exploded in the 1950s, created jobs and growth, and caused Midtjylland to boom and then go worldwide.

In the old Vådappretur, the little ones can come to work at the Children's Factory, where clothes must be sewn, which must then be transported to the train and taken out into the world.

If you come to visit on a Wednesday, you can often experience the sounds and smells of an old-fashioned textile factory, when our volunteers start up the old machines or sit behind the looms - and you can get a story along the way, from those who were there themselves, when it all really got going.
