About Fermaten
Fermaten is a concert venue that presents rhythmic music to audiences in Central and Western Jutland. Fermaten has a capacity of 720 concertgoers and is centrally located by the pedestrian street in Herning. The venue is housed in a former textile factory, which was renovated in 2008 with iconic architecture by the renowned Danish architect Kim Utzon, making it an architectural landmark in the region.
Fermaten has developed significantly in recent years, with an increasing number of concerts and musical activities, more audience members, and more volunteers. Each year, Fermaten creates musical experiences for up to 20,000 guests through 120 events, organized by 100 local volunteers. Additionally, Fermaten has strengthened its efforts to develop and create opportunities for the emerging music scene in the region.
When Fermaten is not functioning as a concert venue, it also serves as an excellent setting for corporate events.
Facilities
The venue includes three rooms:
Concert Hall:
- Spans the ground floor and first floor
- Capacity for 720 standing guests (including staff) or 340 seated guests
- Space for approximately 250-300 dining guests at tables, depending on the setup
- Professional lighting and sound equipment, as well as a projector and a large screen
- Two bars that can serve 700+ guests
- Restroom facilities that can accommodate 700+ guests
- Large outdoor, covered rooftop terrace with space for approximately 20 guests
Fermaten Lounge:
- Capacity for 45+ standing guests (with a setup of high standing tables)
- Capacity for 40 seated guests, depending on stage size
- Space for approximately 35 dining guests, depending on the setup
- Professional sound equipment and a large screen
- One bar that can serve 50+ guests
- Two restrooms that can accommodate 50+ guests
Backstage Room:
- Space for eight dining guests, depending on the setup
- Refrigerator for beverages
- One restroom
- Two shower facilities
- Sofa area
- Large outdoor, covered rooftop terrace with space for approximately 20 guests
Other Facilities:
- Cloakroom accommodating approximately 650 guests
- Backstage kitchen (not accessible to guests) with refrigerators. Cooking is not possible.
- Three hours of free parking in a large parking lot next to the venue. No time restrictions on Saturdays and Sundays.
Catering
The venue can serve soft drinks, beer, wine, spirits, etc.
Hot meals cannot be prepared on-site, but it is possible to serve hot meals delivered by an external provider. The venue can also assist in obtaining quotes from potential suppliers if desired.
Accommodation
The venue does not have rooms.
